Pretoria Capitals represents a founding franchise competing in South Africa’s elite T20 league launched in 2022, staging its blockbuster inaugural season in January 2023. India powerhouse JSW Sports owns the Pretoria outfit playing out of iconic SuperSport Park in Centurion – a historic venue also hosting domestic titans.

With parent company JSW Group co-owning IPL’s Delhi Capitals among other elite teams plus the Gauteng region’s rich sporting mix which includes giants like rugby’s Bulls, football’s Mamelodi Sundowns and Super Sport United FC, Pretoria finds itself immersed in the middle of the rich sporting environment of South Africa. It is against this sporting backdrop where global gaming platform Mega Casino World has seen the opportunity in a growing cricket league, and in Dec 2023 the brand signed a high-profile year-long principal sponsorship alliance with Pretoria Capitals promising increased exposure through T20 broadcasts alongside franchise fan engagement in the community.

Carlos Tevez, an Argentinean with experience as both a professional football team manager and a former player, is now proudly part of the MCW family as our official ambassador. During his prime, Tevez showcased exceptional qualities. He was known for his speed, strength, tenacity, boundless energy, and remarkable versatility, capable of playing various roles, including striker, winger, supporting forward, or attacking midfielder.

Tevez famously donned the jersey of Manchester City, a formidable rival of Manchester United. In the 2010–11 season, he clinched the Premier League Golden Boot, and in the subsequent 2011–12 campaign, he secured the league’s top honors.

In September 2022, Smith signed partnership with MCW and officially became cricket ambassador. Graeme Smith, a figure of immense power and strength, transcends those qualities as he assumes the role of South Africa’s captain. Not only a former cricket player for South Africa across all formats and a South African cricket commentator, but Smith also took over as captain of the national team in 2003, succeeding Shaun Pollock.

While his batting achievements are remarkable, Smith’s career is most notable for his role in rejuvenating the confidence of South Africans, both within and outside the national team and its institutions.

The 2023 Over 40s Cricket Global Cup kicked off in Karachi on September 19th, with MCW serving as the primary shirt and Title Sponsor. This exciting event features teams from Pakistan, Australia, West Indies, Canada, USA, UAE, Hong Kong, and Nepal all vying for victory. Over the course of the tournament, a total of thirty-six matches will be played at five different venues in Karachi. Notably, the matches held at Karachi Stadium will be broadcast live on PTV Sports.

The tournament opener showcased the host team, Pakistan Veterans, squaring off against the experienced players from the United States. To mark the occasion, a splendid trophy unveiling ceremony took place at a local hotel in Karachi. The event was accompanied by a press conference, expertly led by Fawad Ijaz, the Chairman of the Pakistan Veterans Cricket Association.

The Barbados Royals have sealed a partnership deal with MCW Sports for the 6ixty T10 tournament set to take place in August 2022. Previously known as the Barbados Tridents, the Barbados Royals serve as the franchise cricket team representing Barbados in the Caribbean Premier League. This team was established in 2013 as one of the six original teams for the inaugural season of the CPL.

Notably, Hollywood actor Mark Wahlberg has held an equity interest in the team since 2013, a connection initiated by his friend Ajmal Khan, who serves as the club’s chairman and was instrumental in designing the CPL. During the 2014 CPL season, the Barbados Royals earned a spot in the Champions League, though their journey in the tournament was brief, as they were eliminated in the group stage.
